Jan van Haasteren was born in 1936 in Holland. In 1962 he started work doing advertising/illustration and went on the work for Toonder Animation Studios. After 5 years he left to become a freelance illustrator creating posters for clients all over the world including Heineken and Philips. He now creates a lot of puzzle illustrations enjoyed by many people in their homes in many countries of the world.
